TWINS!

I have had a "twin wrap" available for awhile, but my friend, Amanda, is the first model for one :) She is rocking the twin wrap, while her hubby and her sister rock the camo print on babies Ellie Grace and Olivia. See, girls can do camo, too! Thanks Angel, Amanda, J.C., and Ellie Grace & Olivia for being great models!

Baby Bum Wraps Go International!

I am stoked to say that Baby Bum Wraps are now internationally popular :) My husband took some with him on a mission trip to Oradea, Romania. He is visiting with a family of missionaries there, the Bruskis, who work with many gypsy villages and homeless kids in the park. Many of the girls and families they work with have babies. I sent several wraps with him, and they love them there!
Here are a couple picks of the wraps in action. The first is a friend of ours, Laura, wearing Omar, a child of one of the park girls. His mom has been wearing him all over the house, I hear, and Laura took the opportunity to snap a pic. The second pic is of a young girl in one of the villages. She loves it!

Finally! I got a couple of the videos up and running! Those who already have your wraps, please feel free to contact me if you would like to see a video of a specific hold. If it can be done, I'll certainly try to make it happen here :)

This is the Tummy to Tummy, Front Cross-Carry Hold. This is a basic hold. I'll be uploading a video soon for another way to wrap this same hold. Enjoy :)

Tummy-to-Tummy

Sling-hold wrap (best for nursing) -- In this style the baby is cradled acorss the front, much like in a sling, only more secure and no aching back!

Sling Hold

Outward facing - Front Cross-Carry -- (see tummy to tummy video for How To wrap this style) This video shows simply how to place the baby into the outward facing position once the wrap is already on.

Outward-Facing (cumberbun on outside)

Here is an Alternate Outward Facing hold. The difference here is the cumberbun is on the inside of the X rather than over baby's feet on the outside. To me, this one feels more secure and baby's feet are free to kick around :) If you like baby's feet covered, stick with the video above. Otherwise, check out the video below...

Outward-Facing (cumberbun on inside)

Well, I have had many-a-question about whether you can get a baby out easily and put him or her back into the same or a different hold without much hassle or re-wrapping. Here is a "How to Take Your Baby Out of the Wrap" video, combined with a transition from outward-facing to a tummy-to-tummy hold with ease!

Choose your Fabric -- Wraps Made to Order!

All of our wraps are made to order. There are a variety of patterns to choose from (see picture below) or there are solid colors as well. My solid colors currently include: black, white, gray, aqua/teal, light baby pink, bright/dark pink, bright green, and orange.

What does it look like?

Here is Ethan at 6 weeks in the wrap. (side view)
I have been wearing him since he was 5 days old.

Here's the back view -- notice that it is proportioned well, so no backaches!
Also, it ties in the front, so you can put it on anywhere and wear it without feeling the uncomfortable knot on your back.

Welcome to Our Site

Baby-wearing is becoming more popular here in the U.S. It has many benefits to both moms and their babies! This form of attachment parenting provides a womb-like place for baby to stay while hearing some of the same sounds s/he heard from within: mom's heartbeat, muffled sounds, mom's breathing patterns, etc. Research shows that this results in happier, more independent, and healthy babies!

That said, I have begun making Mayan-inspired wraps. They are 100% cotton knit, and come in a huge variety of patterns and colors. They stretch with baby, and you can literally wear your baby from birth until as long as you feel comfortable. There are many different ways to wrap your baby in this style of wrap, so the possibilities are endless! Because the wraps are distributed proportionately on your body, you will not get the aching back that you might get from a sling or backback style pouch. They are easy to put on, and can be worn anywhere! Please check back soon to see some local Statesboro folks wearing their babies...

You can contact me via e-mail if you are interested in purchasing one for you or a friend (the perfect shower gift!)
